Alex Koritz is the Founder and President of Koritz Communications. The boutique firm specializes in creating awareness for its clients by utilizing social media and traditional earned media. Recent clients include House To Home, award-winning author John Brown, Choice Humanitarian, and others.
Alex is also Vice President of Public Relations for Sprout Marketing where he directs all PR activities, helping to create awareness, mindshare and revenue growth for all of Sprout’s clients. Alex and his team recently won the Utah Social Media Club’s grand prize, ‘Best Integrated Marketing Campaign’, for their work with Goldsmith Jewelers.
Prior to Sprout he was a Senior Associate with the New York-based PR firm, Coltrin & Associates. While at Coltrin he worked with a variety of clients in industries ranging from technology to healthcare and has played a lead role in driving product and corporate PR for such companies as 3Com, Burger King, Control4, Intermountain Health Care, and others. Alex has also worked for the Salt Lake Organization Committee (SLOC) during the 2002 Winter Olympics; and Salomon U.S.A. on their Field Marketing team.
Alex regularly speaks on the subject of public relations and has been quoted in the press as an industry expert. He is also a freelance writer for Utah Business Magazine and other business publications.
In addition, Alex is active in his community and works closely with several humanitarian groups, including Tifie Humanitarian, The Singular Humanitarian Experience, and Choice Humanitarian.
He sits on the Board of Directors for Buzz.io, a boutique marketing agency that helps companies create awareness within the blogosphere. He is also an active member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the Utah Technology Council (UTC)
Alex holds an undergraduate degree in Journalism and Communications from Utah State University.
